Finding a lender and getting a pre-approval letter from them is the very first step in the process of buying your home. You should be as comfortable with your lender as you are with your agent. With so many different loan programs available you should be working with someone that will take the time to educate you if you have not been through this process already.

If you are not currently working with a lender I have several people I am happy to refer you to. I advise interviewing at least two lenders as you will find that they are as important as interviewing an agent. You can go to two lenders and get two different quotes on your payment or interest rate.
